Ellie, it was written in a single stream-of-consciousness string, then scattered around the page a la Jackson Pollock. It does read from top to bottom. The title "Smurf Soup" (an afterthought) signifies a world gone wrong where the evil Gargamels are able to execute their nefarious schemes. Erm, not that I've ever watched the show the other day.
