Okay To Drink But Workout Everyday?

Recommended Posts

Yeah I agree, if that is beer it is probably too much. Same if it is Red Bull for that matter - that much caffeine is NOT good for you!

Too much alchohol really affects your physical fitness/output on a day to day basis. It dehydrates you, and so will slow you down, or not allow you to go as hard. I notice a difference if I have a glass or two of wine for example the night before a run compared to when I don't. Muscles tire quicker, don't recover as quickly and I have less overall energy even if I had same amount of sleep and food intake.

Drinking everyday is a problem because your body get's addicted. You should have at least 2 days off per week. I follow this practice for a long time and have no problems with craving alcohol.

About your 4 drinks per day, it's on the high side but as long as you have 2-3 off days it's not too bad.

Your running is very good, I could not do it because I am too tall and top heavy and my knee joints would die. I swim a lot and bike a bit instead.
