why did he do this?

I've been in NC with my ex for nearly two months.

(He was cheating on me, I ended it...he thinks he ended it, whatever)

 

I ran into him about a week ago. He waved to me, I just kept walking.

 

Anyway, a few days later, he left a box of things at my door, including presents I had given to him while we were together! I NEVER asked for anything back. I haven't emailed or called him since the breakup.

 

Why did he do this?

Is he playing head games with me?

Why did he wait so long to return my things?

 

I'd appreciate any advice, suggestions, insight! Thanks!

Just forget about him and move on. It doesnt matter why he did it, people do strange things when they break up. If you dont want those things just trash them and dont talk to him.

He did it to get a reaction out of you, which he didn't, and that's good. NC is hard, I know, but you did the right thing by cutting this cheater loose. I am impressed with your resolve and self-respect, by the way. Kudos to you!

I agree. He did it yes, to play mind games and to get a reaction. I too think you did the right thing by not responding. Keep it up! Sounds like you made a good choice.
