Some men do it as a sense of establishing power in the relationship. They purposely check out other girls in front of their girlfriend to send the message "Hey I'm checking this girl out, if you aren't careful I'll leave you for her". From what I've seen this usually makes the girlfriend jealous and feel inadequate. She will actually cling tighter to the guy and take certain measures to regain that feeling of adequacy.

well, there is a different between staring and just glancing. but we all are not horses with blinders on. we don't just look forward. we are a visual species, things catch our eye.

I have worked at a coffee shop and I have bar tended. It is to serve drinks and make tips. It's a job.. No, we don't liked to be gawked at. Like jaded said, that is a place for strip clubs. I would never mind if someone came in and found me attractive..but going to the same place every day is a little extreme. If you like her, why don't you ask her out?
