I am confused

My ex and me broke up 10 months ago. Since then I never had contacted her. Yesterday she asked a friend of mine whether I have a girl friend or not. He told he that he thinks that I dont have a gf at the moment. Then she said it is better for her if I get one.

Why is she trying to find out whether I have a gf or not? And why is she wanting me to have one?

Maybe she wants to be able to move on from you because she feels it is the right thing, and it will be easier for her to do that if you are seeing someone else. Strange the way we rationalize things sometimes.

 

I wouldn't look too deeply into this. It's been 10 months and you haven't talked at all, it's doubtful anything will come of it.

The reason for breakup is that she found someone new.

From what she's already said it sounds like she was just asking to make herself feel better. Maybe she wants to ease her conscience?
