Two-faced? What do I do?

5 weeks into a relationship and I see some interesting developments and not sure what to make of it.

 

We started going out and things felt normal. Now if we go out with my friends or her friends she'll be more clingy and loving to me and then on the way back to my place, cold... much colder than her norm.

 

I don't know what to make of it or if the forum could shed some light. If there are pieces that I need to address please ask.

Have you asked her why she turns off once the two of you are alone? If not, why haven't you? If you have, then what was her excuse/explanation for her apathy towards you?

Not directly (although I feel I've progressed tremendously over the past 2 years, I do lack communication skills). When we got into the car after the second time around and she turned to her phone and gave one word answers, I asked if everything is alright. Her response was she's just tired.

 

I only asked her out once this past week and we had a fun night (as opposed to 2 or 3).

Try putting your hand over her screen and seducing her instead of leaving her to dis-connect.

Five weeks is nothing. You're just seeing how she is and if you don't like it now is the time to speak up and end things if she won't change. It almost does sound like she's more about appearances than actually caring about you and that's something that if you see at the beginning is usually your exit cue.
