A song I wrote for Sunshyne (A good friend of mine)

For Sunshyne:

Glittered Teardrops

[[[Chorus]]]

Her teardrops are glittering in her eyes

She looks at the world hoping the shine blinds the lies

Her cheeks are sparkling; a soft, glistening glow

She doesn't realize that she's,

So beautiful

[[[End Chorus]]]

And beauty isn't measured

In tubes of lipstick and curly hair

And beautiful is what she wishes to be

But she's already there

Cuz beautiful is waking up and walking out the door

Just to gaze into the sunshyne

And wonder if there's more

More than just tears

More than just lies

And all the while

Glittered teardrops

She cries

She just wants to be beautiful

She just wants to feel love

Of all of this hurting

She's had more than enough

But no one knows…

[chorus]

And beauty is measured

In your capacity to care

And beautiful is what she longs to be

But she's always been there

Cuz beautiful is holding to truth when the world gives you lies

Just to still secretly hope

That there's more than just goodbyes

More than just hurt

More than second tries

And all the while

She cries

She just wants to be beautiful

She just wants to feel love

She's tired of hiding

Because things are so rough

But no one knows…

[chorus]

Beauty isn't measured

-her teardrops

Beautiful is

-her glittered teardrops

Is there more than just

-Glittered teardrops

She cries

But she doesn't know

She's so beautiful

She just wants to be beautiful

She just wants to feel love

{{fading out

She's so beautiful

So beautiful

Glittered with

Beautiful…Tears

{{end}}

sad how people can't see they're beautiful as they are and feel they have to hide themself

Definetly. It seems like some of the most beautiful people never think much of themselves. I love my Sunshyne, she's one of the more beautiful people I know. She doesn't know it though. A lot of the lyrics are based on stuff between us, (as in stuff that would have meaning for us). I gave it to her today and she almost cried. She's been one of the biggest supporters of my writing and she kind of looks up to me like a kid sister would...so I know it meant a lot to her. I'm planning on making a keyboard piece to go with it and the whole works...maybe even record it (singing also) and such.

Anyway, thanks for the comments. And, if you do know someone like this...try and take the time to let them know how beautiful they are. It'll mean a lot to them. =)
