Slow Club
Simple question really. Is it about timing? I was the dumpee by the way. I'm guessing generic "How are you?" messages aren't acceptable... Link to comment

GalwayGal
Hi Slow-Club. Judging from what I've been reading on this forum all morning, there should be "NC", which I presume to mean "No Contact" - that way he/she will wonder what you're up to? or whether you've met someone else; or lost interest in them. Whereas if you're in contact with them, they'll presume you're still pining for them and/or want a reconciliation. I actually think the "NC" thing will work - there's a great thread on here, see if you can find it, written by a girl who "ALMOST" got back with her ex, however he did all the wrong things and she decided against it (she lists "what not to do", getting in contact is one of them). stranger88
Basically... never. Well not never, but if you still want to its probably too soon. They dumped you and told you they don't want you in their life (typically) let them initiate contact Link to comment
stranger88
Personally I called after 1 month she was surprised... Surprised you call at all? I wouldn't even know what to say. Chances are it would be awkward and you'd feel bad. Link to comment
markie6
I think OP given the history between you and your ex, the fact she contacted you to make sure she didn't see you somewhere, you should leave it up to her to get in touch if she wants Link to comment
