falling out of love with bf of 2 years.

my friend is having this problem, so im doing post for her. this is her story: my bf and i have been going out for 2 years, on and off. uh, let's call my bf "steve". lately, i've been more attracted toward this guy named. . ."john". John really likes my bff, though. I know i dont really have a chance w/ john, but i like him more than i like steve. If i break up with steve he would be broken hearted. Should i break up with steve and pursue john? or should i forget about john, and stay with steve?

Its not so important which one you pick but that you need to make a decision. Hopefully whatever decision you make you will learn more to better prepare you for next time.

Prepare for what though. For this situation when she likes another guy more than her current boyfriend?

 

I guess you never know when you "fall out of love", which is something I don't understand.

 

I do understand though that if you aren't happy you should seek ends to amend that. Which.. may include breaking up your relationship to be with other people
