I had a dream that you were standing here,

Kissing my lips while wiping my tear.

 

I had a dream that you were holding my hand,

Walking on the beach leaving footprints in the sand.

 

I had a dream that you were coming back to me,

That me and you were the only thing you could see.

 

I had a dream that you ask me to marry you tonight,

To forget about the past and our future would be just right.

 

I had a dream that you took me far far away,

Some where there was nothing anyone could say.

 

I had a dream that we were real happy with one another,

That I was finally a wife that was about to be a mother.

 

But then I wake up from this wonderful dream that I had,

Thought about my life and my goals and why I am so sad.

 

I put the puzzle together inside of my mind to figure out me,

That all the things that were in my dream are how I want things to be.

man i am feeling that...i am so depressed over my ex who is just one floor below my dorm in college. he talks to other females but says he still loves and cares about me. i would love nothing other than to just start over with him but he isnt ready for that so i have no choice but to wait. so i love your poem.

I do believe that life is what you make it, that's why i feel horrible, i don't have the strength to make my life.
