I transcend my mind at night

To a place where it is still so bright

In my dreams I'm blessed with your curse

I speak to you with no reply

And now I know how much it hurts

 

I have visions of the future

Where we are holding hands together

Sharing special moments and planning forever

It all feels so real it's almost as though you are next to me

 

But when I roll on to the empty side of the bed we shared

I wake up to a sad and lonely reality

At least I can sleep some more so I'll escape a while longer

To the place inside my head a lifetime away

Where our problems are solved

And our love has revolved.
