when to have sex after finding out about an affair

3 weeks ago, I found out my boyfriend of 4 years cheated on me back in March. I joined a support group online and have read tons of articles from all sides of the story. I've accepted my faults in making our relationship what it was although I know it was his own choice to physically and emotionally cheat. He is working with me to figure things out and make our relationship even better. It's alot to go into but basically I'm on the path to forgiveness and we are doing okay. My question is, I'm having these crazy urges to make love to him again. It's only been 3 weeks and it scares me that I'm ready this early but I also read that people work at their own paces AND what I'm feeling is called "hysterical sex", where you want the intimacy back. I have an appointment with a counselor at my college for Monday and I'm waiting until after I talk with her before I decide if I'm ready but I want to know when you think is the right time to have sex after starting to recover the relationship??

Did he got tested yet after the affair? Are you emotionally ready?

As long as you are ready to forgive him for cheating and be okay with sleeping with him again. Only you can say how long you should wait.

I agree with getting him tested first and making sure that he is committed to staying loyal to you.
