pinkrobot Posted April 9, 2010 Share Posted April 9, 2010 If you've read this book before, please please please answer this question, for it is causing a near painful confusion. I LOVED the book but I can't wrap my mind around this one thing. So, in the middle of the book there is a chapter about a woman and her grown children, one of whom announces his engagement and admits to having recently knocked up two different women. Now what has me confused is that these people had nothing to do with the main character (unless I'm missing something) and aside from the single mention of the main character living adjacent to them and aside from one of the pregnant women being the girlfriend from the beginning of the book, I don't see how this chapter ties into the book at all. Can someone explain this to me, if there's something I'm missing? Link to comment
