insightful dream about the ex

my dream went like this: i was buying notebooks for him at a bookstore, and i called him several times to check exactly what size, color, etc etc. when i finally got the notebooks for him, i realized i missed out something and i scrambled to apologize to him.

 

this dream made it very clear to me what it was about. in the relationship, i tried too hard to please him, and i apologized even when i didn't need to (i mean, i was doing him a favor in the dream! it wasn't an obligation). i realize now how pathetic i acted, how desperately i needed his approval.

 

well, lesson learned. it is now time to move on!
