caasiopia68
My girlfriend was anorexic from age like 9-14 and didn't have her period for a really long time. I know I shouldn't worry about it but is it possible that she could be sterile? Link to comment

Haven
If she's started having her period, then she's not sterile. However, if she's not, then it could be due to the anorexia or just her young age. Some girls can get their periods rather late. Link to comment
enchiladaman
The short answer is yes, a woman can absolutely go sterile from being anorexic. Link to comment
RedSoxFan84
My aunt was severely anorexic for a long time and didn't have her period for years. Now, she has three girls. She didn't have trouble getting pregnant. Link to comment
ghost69
anorexia is a very bad problem. you can lose more than just eggs. your body starts to eat itself and organs end up dying too. anything can happen. Link to comment
notsomuch
Yes, sadly when the body is starved of nutrients the reproductive system is the first thing to go. Link to comment
