What to do/How soon to act?

No I feel as if she was scared to try and reconcile because I looked so aloof. And now it feels as if she's much more distant...plus the guy that I feel was waiting in the wings is coming out.

 

So what do I do?

Well, how else are you supposed to look other than aloof. She broke up with you so she should expect you to be aloof. If she is too much of a wimp that she can't take a chance, her loss. If the other guy is coming out of the shadows and she goes to him, all the more reason to walk away and not look back. You don't need to chase after someone who dumped you or to look like you are waiting for her to come back.

Bogre, all the advice given to you in this thread has been perfect. Read it again whenever you're wondering what you should do. Because what you should be doing now is NOTHING. Don't be mean to her, but leave your ex alone. It's out of your hands entirely. Your best option is to move on with your life and let things go from there, with or without her. If she really wants to reconcile, she'll let you know, no matter how out-of-contact you are. Trust everyone on this, and good luck. We've all been there.
