Kalika
Hey folks, I have a job interview at a bank and I was wondering if I should go in a suit, or if wearing something nice but casual would be more appropriate. I feel like if I wear the suit, I might be overdressed (everyone else there dresses work-casual). Should I wear a suit, no matter what the work environment there is like?? Any quick tips? Thanks in advance Link to comment

Scout
Absolutely the suit. Always dress formally and professionally at any type of job interview. Link to comment
onewithbooks
i read somewhere that you should always dress for one job level ahead of the one you want. go with the suit!! Plus being dressed up will help you feel more confident. Just remember, keep it simple. Good luck!! Link to comment
Beec
I've worn a suit to two interviews during which I was without question over-dressed. I got both jobs though. All else being equal, I'd wear navy before black. Link to comment

Kalika
It went really well. The guy interviewing me kept it really casual and laid-back, so it was more chatting back and forth rather than him drilling me. He asked me some "psychology questions" though, which I thought were funny, like: "If you were trying to hide an elephant, where would you hide it?" Link to comment
