what i would like is advice in how i say no to her without shouting at her un a calm manner

    "NO"

She knows she has you wrapped around her fingers, and it's working.  As long as you remain by her side she'll run with it, while nothing changes. She'll likely be singing a different tune if you say what you mean, and mean what you say.

She has mentioned that she can be out of the house for a couple of days, then I can go for a couple of days so that the load isn't too much for me to handle the kids.

Wow, what a deal!  Obviously, she's looking for ways to come out smelling like a rose while she goes on the hunt.  She's not looking out for you, or the kids. as this is all about her which I'm sure you know.

My thoughts are you can't go forward, and have her on a leash, while waiting for the next shoe to drop.

Sunday we have another date, a "proper" date since it was planned in advance with a time.  Not a place yet, but he's picking me up at noon and I am fine not knowing what he's planning.

Where is he "picking you up" at?

  4. No offense, but you've given him the message that he can continue with his reckless behaviour, and return anytime he wants to.  He knows you'll be there with open arms where he can hang his hat and stay for a while.

You're better off by raising your standards while having enough self respect to walk away.  My guess is he'll have much more respect for you while learning a tough lesson....Hopefully!

I think that is plenty long enough.  If you are having sex with her, then that conversation should already have happened.

I second this opinion.  Also, the one thing that baffles me, is why is it so easy to have sex right away, yet it's difficult to have a a simple conversation in regards to where you stand?

Of course the words  "to each their own" comes into play, as well.
