  1. "work on *your* self esteem and then decide" Ive heard this SO many times - what does it mean to work on your self-esteem - look in the morning every day and say "wow" lol??? This ties in with "u gotta love urself b4 anyone else can love u" - like how do u learn to love urself if that isnt reflected in the people around u????? Btw I went out with another one of the girls last nite, and it was nice, she said she had a "lovely" time, but we didnt make out or anything, unlike the other girls.. Man i feel like such an * * * * * * * cause i wud hate it if any of them were doin the same thing :s
  2. Hi all, Ive never really had much luck in the past with dating, however in the last week Ive managed to get into the bizarre situation where I have 3 ( yes three!!!) girls all interested.. Ive already went out with one of them, and she's really nice, but the problem is I dont know if one of the other two could be "the one".. So I feel really guilty for making plans with these other girls, while still talking to the other one as if I still am interested, and I kindof am, but Im afraid these other girls will be more suited to me! So do I just have to choose one and go for it? Or should I date all 3 for a couple of weeks and see how it goes? Man that cud get complicated! Also all three girls have very differnet personalitys - one is very confident and outgoing, one im not too sure about, and the other is very shy and hasnt much confidence. Im afraid that if I dont go for the one with little confidence it will really hurt her (she's the one ive already went out with), and she talks as if we're an item (but it was only one date, but i do like her)... I can relate to her because i know what shes going through as i have experienced the same issues in life, and gotten through them, but So i dont want to end up just being like a therapist to her.. Whereas the other girls are more fun to be with... So are there problems if two people in a relationship have exactly the same issues (ie low self-esteem and shyness) or does this help to bond pple? Thanks Dave
  3. Ok thanks for the advice.. One thing, she's only been going out with him for three months, and Im not sure how serious things are between them - like eg she has told me that he's always busy and they dont get to spend that much time together, and I just passed it off.. So I think Im going to go out with her just once more, cause like I dont really know her that well yet, and we only went out once, so I wanna make sure that Im doing the right thing before I rock the boat so to speak... Also we have a lot of the same friends ( I dnt know her bf btw).. But I like your advice - but do u not think I should try to get to know her better as friends first, or is that disasterous! Thanks
  4. Hi, I recently met this girl that I really like, and I think she likes me - last week we went out to the cinema, just the two of us, and had a really good nite.. The only problem is that she has a boyfriend, so Im not really sure where things are going - I really dont want to get stuck in the "just friends" trap, but I really like her, and would rather spend time with her as friends rather than not at all.. So should I just continue to hang out with her - or is there a better way to show her how I feel, without runining the friendship? I feel like such an * * * * * * *, as Id hate to hurt anyone, and a lot of people could end up getting hurt here... Thanks
  5. Hi guys, could you help me out? I emailed this girl a while ago - i wanted to keep it low key so i just asked questions and didnt really push the dating thing at all. So she didnt reply for ages, and when she finally did, she was like hey i was really busy, sorry etc ...So at the end of the message (which was kinda general), she said "I hope you had a great time over the weekend at xx, I know of a great seafood place there if you're interested." So anyway, is she asking me if i would be interested in going with her to the seafood place, or is she just looking to know if i want to know the name of the place so i can check it out sometime? But then again, why wouldnt she just tell me the name of the place straight away... hmmm thanks
  6. Hi, I met this girl on saturday nite and we chatted for maybe 1/2 hour or so.. I could tell that she liked me, and so I asked her for her email address, and she was like, sure with a smile... So I left at that, and now im just wondering what I should do! The obvious answer is d'oh email her!, but im not really sure what i should do - should i arrange a date over email immediately or should i just keep it brief and chatty and get to know her better over email (although I HATE doing this becaues its not the same as getting to know the person face to face!) Usually i dont have a problem but I REALLY like this girl, and dont want to scew it up... (i know thats a bad thing, but hey, you cant help how you feel!) Email examples would be great (i know im just being lazy ) Ive read all these books that say, first thing, invite a girl out for a short 1/2 date, then follow up with something more... And again I hate the typical dinner/date thing - its so contrived.. I know she loves gokarting-and her parents own a karting track - is it bad ediquette to ask her if we could go karting on her parents track? Thanks Dave
