aNnAeLiZaBeTh
i'm not going to go into gory detail, but i just read a post that said women either have a clamshell (where the labia is tucked into the outer lips) or NOT a clamshell (the labia sticks outside of the outer lips).....but what if it is neither of those things? does anyone else have a labia that isn't perfectly symmetrical? i'm thinking of getting a procedure done to fix it and make it symmetrical because i'm SOO self conscious of it... aNnAeLiZaBeTh
i mean it's not symmetrical. so one half sticks out but the other half is smaller and stays tucked in lol ...sorry yall, i didn't want to have to spell it out like that, i guess it just wasn't clear enough before Link to comment

Then it is a normal vulva. Stop thinking clamshell and not clamshell. The fact is that a normal vulva can go from having the labia minora tucked inside of the outer lips all the way to having the labia minora outside the mayor lips. Everything from clamshell to labia minora entirely outside of the labia mayora is normal. does anyone else have a labia that isn't perfectly symmetrical? Trust me, no vulva is perfectly simetrical. Where did you came up with the idea that vulvas are symmetrical??? And even if you had your vulva modified to be perfectly simmetrical, it can look asymmetrical depending on what kind of clothes you are wearing, your underwear or the position you were seating. i'm thinking of getting a procedure done to fix it and make it symmetrical because i'm SOO self conscious of it... Trust me, no guy cares about the simetry of your labia minora, all they care about is that they are going to have sex with you. Link to comment
aNnAeLiZaBeTh
lol thanks tod, i actually do feel a little better about the situation...i mean, i've seen girls on porn and they have symmetrical labia. plus, everything else on the body is symmetrical, so why not the down there region? i've been so paranoid.. Aurian
I read an article in a recent Cosmo about a female magazine editor who worked for a time with a porn magazine. She said they did a LOT of airbrushing and computer manipulation to get those perfect-looking bodies - yes labia too. Link to comment

ElektraHere
I just read an article about woman going under the knife for Labial reconstructive surgery. Its absolutely ridiculous that we as women are reconstructing our private parts so that we can fit some sort of "perfect" picture. My take on it is that men or women who are into the little pink taco don't give a rip what it looks like. They like it because they like it not because its asymetrical or not. Where are we going women? Why are we putting ourselves through all this mental and physical challenges? Ugh!! Ok I will step down from my soapbox now. LOL Link to comment
aNnAeLiZaBeTh
hahahah wow i've never heard it called that either, but i like it! lol you raise a good point, elektra. and now that i've seen all those pics of "little pink tacos" from the link they gave me, i feel much better about myself and i am def not going to get a procedure. ur right--it's absolutely ridiculous what we go through to look good... aNnAeLiZaBeTh
lol nooo i'm SURE it doesnt look like that!! did you check out that website? you should if you havent. go to the link that weeblie left and then that'll take you to another forum. then click on the link in THAT forum and take a look....it'll ASSURE you that you're normal. moreover, it assured me that mine looks one helluva lot better than practically ALL of those lol Link to comment
Zampotne
oh my god I almost threw up from that site. Mine isn't symmetrical either-- I've been self conscious about it, but I've had plenty of partners, and no man has EVER said anything or even acted like what I had down there wasn't completely normal. So hey.. I guess it's just another complex us ladies have.... one of millions. Link to comment

So hey.. I guess it's just another complex us ladies have.... one of millions. Why would we complain about the labia not being simmetrical? If you look closely, male genitalia is not simmetrical either. The penis will usually lean to one side and one of the testicles will hang lower than the other. That's the way it is. I never thought about doing surgery to "correct" that, as from the start I was explained that it was normal. Link to comment
Zampotne
yeah, every guy I've dated isn't symmetrical down there. I always thought it was cute. But there is something a little different about a girls labia hanging out a little that just grosses me out. It's kinda like a little tongue sticking out of you saying "nah nah nah nah boo boo..." haha. Link to comment
SexySadie7
Wasn't there a link put up on here sometime ago about what different labias look like? Who cares? gosh.. do we ALL have to look alike??? No... and think how boring it would be if we did! Stop thinking like this anneelizabeth, "more men need to think the way you do...i always get the feeling (and prob because i only ever date attractive, high standard guys) that i HAVE to be perfect and i HAVE to be up to the porn star standard and i'm just not...no one is..." Gosh.. you need to stop dating guys like this girl, if they are making you think you need surgery on your private parts! What do these guys private parts look like? Are they perfectly symmetrical? I bet not. Anyway.. how can you see your thing down there? I have to go thru contortions to see mine. It doesn't seem like women are very visible to themselves as far as the pubic area. Gosh.. is that the next thing that women are going to feel forced to do to themselves, besides breast enlargement? Vulva symmetry? Don't even think of putting yourself thru all that grief. You are fine the way God created you! Link to comment
SexySadie7
Electra, I would of laughed at your comment, "I just read an article about woman going under the knife for Labial reconstructive surgery. Gosh.. is that the next thing that women are going to feel forced to do to themselves, besides breast enlargement? Vulva symmetry? Don't even think of putting yourself thru all that grief. You are fine the way God created you! I've only seen women worry about how it looks, but never a guy complaining about it. So if anyone forces a woman to get surgery on their vulva, it will be the women themselves. Link to comment

KG
Anne, Up until I got married at 28, I dated quite a few women, and can tell you that the world would be a very boring place if they all looked alike. Thats half the fun, if you know what I mean!!! No two women look identical, and there is no such thing as an ugly AHEM. It's beautiful because it's YOUR ahem, and no one elses. Honest. I love ahems!LOL!! Link to comment
