intimidating and authoritative?

What does it mean if a guy tells you that you are authoritative and intimidating? I wonder if I scare off a lot of guys because I come off as intimidating to them.

Insecure men sometimes have a problem with secure and confident women. That is their problem, not yours. Some of us like a strong woman who knows what she wants.

Depends on whether you come off that way as an affectation, or are just a natural leader.

To me, women that work too hard at appearing qualified to boss me around are tedious and transparent, but a smart, powerful woman is a turn-on if she can also turn it off to become a vulnerable, open friend. Otherwise it's a rather narrow range of behavior.

Some powerful women admit enjoying a break from the role.
