when you know that a girl likes you but you don't feel the same?do you avoid her?

It all depends.

 

1) If the girl is extremely clingy and annoying chances are I'll lay off the contact a bit more in hoping that she will stop liking me.

 

2) If the girl is just average and funny I'll go ahead and talk to her and such because its nice to have an ego boost, but somehow let her know I'm not intrested like talking about how my last ex made things hard and I wouldn't want to get in a relationship for a long time.

 

3) If the girl is just plain out creepy then I'll go ahead and avoid her.

In a word, yes.

 

I probably would because I have been there and got bitten once. One time I told a girl "look thanks for your interest but I'm not interested" only to get her mad and then she turned it back on me saying "you wish I was interested!!!!"

If she is overly aggressive then I believe it is natural to want to avoid the person. However if she is passive about it then you dont really have to avoid her.

Coming from someone who has liked a good friend in the past who didnt like me "that way" in return I would agree with what most other posters have said, Unless the girl is extremely aggresive towards the situation or such there is no reason to avoid her. I would Just casually make it clear that I wasn't interested and by that I dont mean just come out and say "I'm not interested in you" because as BOBSTER said it can always turn on you.
