Help on relationship terms

Okay, so I'm a little confused and I've got a few questions.

Firstly, can someone please clearly define all the relationship terms such as

1. Dating

2. Bf/Gf

3. Stead

4. Being 'together' with someone

If I go out with a girl for dinner or to the mall or something, and its just the two of us, no one else, then is that considered a date?

I like this girl and she likes me too, we met at a concert where she asked for my number. Then we talked and stuff via text message. We arranged to meet for dinner the next day and then we decided that we had a nice time, so we met up the next day too. See I'm going overseas for a holiday with my family and I told her that I don't really wanna go cause I'd miss her. So she asked if she could know why. So i told her that I liked her although its only been a few days. And I asked her how she felt about me. She said that she liked me too. Now I'm a little confused as to whether we can call ourselves bf/gf or i can safely say that we are together. Also, recently she has been referring to me as 'hers'. What does this mean?

Thanks.

in nz we ask.

`so what should Iintroduce to you my friends as?`

`can i call you my girlfriend..?`

we don`t date lots of people at once, but over there i guess if you both stop dating others, know each other well enough that you want their company more and agree on this, that`s steady/gfbf/going out/being tog.

Totally agree. Also, if you ask the first part (do it at the appropriate time, not tomorrow), then you will know what she thinks.
