InaneCathode
The tree, the house, the dancing elvis: I frolic through the snow. It never snows. I sleep under the tree. Its needles never move. I live near the house There are no doors. Near my house, something odd A dancing elvis. Day and night His hips gyrate Someone comes near! Who is she? She picks me up Carrys me out of this land Her house has doors She lets me in She shows me her closet I show her my world We kiss under a tree Its needles wave in the wind She meets a guy She shows him her whole world She throws me back Like a fish into water My world has no water My world has no wind My world has plastic trees Plastic houses I watch the dancing elvis Nailed to the wall His hips have stopped moving My heart has too She let me taste the outside I showed her my world Just me and my tree My house and the snow The invisible limits And the dancing elvis. Interperate that! Gimme some feedback Link to comment
KarenWalker
"I watch the dancing elvis Nailed to the wall" I like this stanza particularily. Interesting poem, I love the broken up drama. Very emotional....the only thign I didn't have a liking for was the my heart has stopped too line....I think it coudl be metaphorically present through the elvis stopping his dancing or soemthing...just don;t state the obvious. Lol I don;t knwo what I'm talking about, sorry...it's very good. -karenwalker. Link to comment
