no_day_but_today
Tip 4 unwanted pregnancies- Vitamin C. Lots of it! about 8-10 grams a day... that means taking 1 500mg pill every hour. it has a 30-40% chance of working, It worked for me so I'm suggesting it. Apparently theres a lot of info out there about this Vit.C abortion, but I had never heard of it.I hope this helps someone. Link to comment
Mrocza
I've never personally heard of this new "approach". However, excess vitamin C is know for "cleaning you out" :S Link to comment
MiaLeah
I doubt it has any correlation Link to comment
Scout
No offense, but I truly hope no one depends on this to prevent pregnancy. First, I have my doubts that it would work, and second, an overdosage of vitamins could just end you up with a child that has severe birth defects. Link to comment
Dako
IIRC Vitamin C, also known as ascorbic acid, is water soluble so any excess is flushed away in urine. Fat-soluble vitamins have the ability to act as toxins at high doses. As a method of birth control, this sounds worthless, but then I've never gotten pregnant. Link to comment
avman
Sorry but there is no scientific evidence to support this theory. You cannot rely on it for birth control and extremely high doses of vitamin C is rough on the kidneys. If you want birth control you need to stick to the proven birth control methods. Link to comment
Relationship Coach
The only way vitamin c tablet will prevent pregnancy is for the woman to hold one tightly between her knees and not let go! Link to comment
