Pretty sure he's the one... just one problem

Honestly, I really liked him! And I probably would have continued dating him. But he was one of those guys who called me only in between every one of the million other things he had going on in his life. I called him "Busy Busy Bruce". Plus, he was, I believe, too close with his ex for my comfort.

 

So in the end, I did appreciate the way he approached this, and I think I also knew that it would never have ultimately worked out for me. He'd always have to cancel and reschedule, often at the last minute, as his ex would call, etc.

 

A few months later, he emailed to tell me what a "funk" he was in, as he missed me. So, we tried again, only for him to.....cancel again, at the last minute.

 

The HSV-2 was, for me, the straw that broke the camel's back. It caused me to end things sooner than later, but it ultimately was going to end anyway.

 

I learned a lot from this short but non-permanent relationship.
