Marlee
Just asked this question in my last thread, but realized most of you might not see it there. So- What films, books (fiction or non-fiction) and music are helping you right now? (In terms of making you feel better, making you cry i all out, making you think differently or just giving you a sense of not being alone) All recommendations appreciated! Let's compile the ultimate kickin-the-lovesickness-list. Link to comment
laninaperdida
I'm a fan of he the Clan of the Cave Bear series. That stuff that girl deals with will make you feel as though your problems are minuscule, lol. She's also a heroine and you want to be like her after you read. If I'm looking for something light, I read books about fat people. Sounds strange, but when I read their accounts of how they're treated it makes me feel better that I am not fat and how I will never get fat. I don't want to end up like them. Those stories also have a lot of heartache in them, as a result of being fat. Monika Parker is one of the authors who writes about this stuff. Link to comment
Brotherhood67
If you're a man, the best movie is undoubtely "Swingers" - so true and funny ^-^ As for books, I personally love to read classics - found great closure about my ex-wife by re-reading "The pictures of Dorian Gray"... And regarding music, I let my feelings express themselves by listening to U2 - One... It was ridiculous but each time I listened to it, I cried a lot (don't know why) and each time, I felt better afterwards... Link to comment

hodgeheg
It's Called a Breakup Because It's Broken by Greg Behrendt is a book I carried around with me and helped me through my breakup. I really recommend it, so long as you don't mind being called a "super fox"! Link to comment
