iwishiknew
I had a job from the temp agency that lasted one month, and wondering should I put that on my resume? I'm thinking no, because it won't look good on my resume because it was only one month of work. Link to comment
avman
Was it that the temp contract just ended after a month? That's the nature of temp agencies so it wouldn't really look out of place. If you were terminated for poor performance though then I would recommend leaving it off. Link to comment
quantumst8
Nope. Only time I ever listed jobs that short was when I applied at a federal agency and they required disclosure of all periods of employment 1 month or greater. Otherwise, I never would. Link to comment
blueidealist24
I'd put it if it's related to the job you're applying for and if the job was actually only supposed to last a month. Actually, I'd put it on anyway even if it wasn't related to show that I was working, probably. Link to comment
LeftBehind
Yeah, the problem is that if you don't put it on there you have to explain the gap in employment. That can sometimes be more detrimental. Link to comment
Natasha24
Were you fired, did you quit, or was it a short contract? If you were fired/quit, don't put it on your resume. But if it was only a 1 month job, I think you should put it on. Just make it clear that it was a contract, like put the job title as "Program Assistant (Contract Position)". Then they won't question why it's only a month. Link to comment
MakestheBest
I would list the temp agency as your job and under that heading list the names of the different companies you worked with and what your duties were. i.e. HASTING TEMP AGENCY LLC 1 year List of companies that I worked with in chronological order: Company A (asisstant ), Company B (admin asisstant), Company C (trainer) Link to comment
