So my bf is coming to see me..and?

My bf lives in another city and he will be coming to see me for my birthday weekend. I have already ordered my birthday cake..paid for it, bought the candles,the dress,the shoes and earrings. I am not having a party bash or anything,i just want to look and feel special since ill be 25. Ive never had my own personalized birthday cake so im excited to say the least. My bf will be arriving tomorrow and he wants me to take off from work on Friday and i cannot because Ive already taken off on the next Monday because i have an appointment with the eye specialist. My bf knows this since he will be taking me for my appointment. But he keeps telling me to take off on Friday when he knows im working and cannot. I will however see him after work and on the weekend for my Birthday so i dont see why he keeps telling me this. Hes not understanding that i have work on Friday,i work as a receptionist by the way. What should i do?

He's being unreasonable. There's only so many ways to explain to him the situation. He can't just stomp all over your plans because it's what he wants. He has to respect the fact that you're more aware of your job situation and schedule than he is.

 

I recommend hitting him with a brick, but lovingly so.

I guess you ahve to just explain it again to him that you cannot take off from work... and he should respect you for that.

Yeah he should respect that its not my fault he decided to book his flight so early anyways..

Just tell him clearly that you want to spend the time with him, but it's impossible for you to get off of work.
