Live Entertainment in NYC

I am looking for a place that has maybe like live bands playing and a good nice atmosphere. Anywhere in the NYC metro area!

Idk if this post is still relevant since it was like two months ago, but there's a cool thing down in the city that is basically like a restaurant (with decent food) and they play swing music and big band styles while you eat. I heard it's pretty cool buttttttt I don't remember what it's called.. >.>
