Firiel
Okay, so the hours at one of my part-time jobs have just been cut, and it looks like I need to find another job pretty quickly. I can work Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. I haven't really worked a weekend-heavy job ever, so I'm wondering where I should look for employment. I know some, of course, but I'd like suggestions. Hotels Restaurants Athletic clubs I need to find a job fast... Link to comment
SapphireNoir10
Cafes, pubs, bars, restauraunts, shops etc. All sorts of places. Most places take on weekend staff as its usually extra busy weekends. Apply everywhere you possibly can. Make a list of places in your area and then send your cv to all of them stating your wish for weekend hours. Link to comment
abitbroken
What kind of area do you live in? A college town? A resort town? Have you tried part time office work for someone looking for just a morning receptionist? Link to comment
Firiel
It's a college town, if anything. I'm not available in the mornings (except Monday and Friday), and I've also had no success when applying for receptionist jobs. Link to comment
Hurting85
If there's a mall nearby and you're just looking for something extra, don't really care what it is, a lot of the time they love to hear people are interested in weekends. Link to comment
greywolf
Have you tried tutoring companies? That's where I found a job when no one else would hire me. Link to comment
Amore
Retail sucks, but if you need something fast, they're always looking for weekend employees. When I worked in a clothing department, it seemed like all I ever got was Friday/Saturday/Sunday. Link to comment
abitbroken
What about a bookstore? Or pick a place you shop at and could benefit by getting the discount, like the gourmet or organic food store if you go there? Link to comment
Firiel
Good advice... thanks, people. I actually just applied at a bookstore, and I'm going to check out a nearby tutoring place sometime this week. Link to comment
