Forumzguy
I passed my interview so I had to do a drug test. In the drug test, they asked me for the social security number so they can write it into the form. I provided one wrong number of my social security. Will I not get hired because of this? And also, I was charged for a misdemeanor a year ago, I am very nervous about this background test. Link to comment
AuthenticAuthor
If you really want this job, you'll call immediately to correct the error. Otherwise they will view this with suspicion, especially if they find out about your misdemeanor (as minor as it may be). Link to comment
Forumzguy
Should I call the place that i got the drug test? It's closed now.... Link to comment
AuthenticAuthor
If the drug test was recent, you may have a chance tomorrow. Otherwise you might be too late. Hopefully you'll be spared of your mistake if the employer is understanding. Link to comment
KG
We all make mistakes with numbers. You'll come accross as " honest" if you call them to fix it. Link to comment
Forumzguy
no i was reading my ssn to her and she copied it down. She got one number in my social security wrong. one number of the first 3 numbers. Link to comment
metrogirl
cliche but honesty truly is the best policy. Not all employers will disqualify you because of a previous misdemenor, shoot if that was the case a lot of people would be unemployed. You'll look like a stand up guy if you call and have them correct it. Link to comment
