confused about contacting the ex

so after not talking to the ex for a month i sent her a text yesterday. surprisingly she responded after a few hours. we had a very small convo thru texts. so today i decided i would call her because i wanted to talk to her about a few things. she didn't answer nor did she call back. im confused as to why she would respond to the texts but wouldnt respond to the phone call

Texts allow you to keep some distance. Phone is more personal.

Yeah I get this too. Just leave it alone....... Text is impersonal and phone conversation is more personal. Too personal for now is what she is telling you.
