Making her feel better about her horse leaving

My girlfriend just had to sell her horse, she was EXTREMLY attached to him.. She is going to be sad for the next week or so and I want to be able to comfort her.. but I don't really know what to say.. This is very serious though and it would greatly improve our relationship if I could make her feel better about her horse leaving.. So, if anyone knows anything that I can say it would be awesome..

your support will mean so much to her. try and cheer her up, tell her even though she llost her friend, you'll do your best to help fill the void. buy her a stuffed animal horse and tell her its to replace her lost friend. she'll appreciate your thoughtfulness and support so much.
