skippylinn
She walks past my worksite twice a day, everyday! I greet her with a warm hello and a smile, she has returned with a beautiful smile and a warm hello or goodmorning. This has been a daily routine for a month. This morning I looked up and she was directly in front of me and I couldn't open my mouth to say hello. I need some advise! How do I approach her? Jump in front of her and introduce myself? Hold up a sign with a large SMITTEN on it? Follow her to her work place? BTW she's about 20 years younger than me. skip Link to comment
DadaJones
Just introduce yourself and shake her hand and say "hi mine is Skip."Then when you start saying hello with her name conversations will flow more easily. Link to comment
skippylinn
Thanks Dada but shes on her way to work and I'm working. Shes walking down a main street (blocked for auto traffic) in downtown Boston. How do I run out from my place and greet her? I have to figure out a way to get her into my business. After I get her attention, I'll have no problem interacting, the trick is to get her here. Link to comment
DadaJones
I thought you worked with her...picking up someone off the street...lol...you must be a Jedi to do this. Link to comment
ycmanvs
Boston is rough, but since she already says HI to you, all you need to do is keep the conversation flowing...like ask her where she works or her name or something, like about the accident we had here last week, etc. Link to comment
remmie111
a sign would be great! Maybe saying "Hi! My name is Skippy," Link to comment
KG
Give her an expensive chocolate bar with a note that says "You're sweeter than this." Link to comment
DadaJones
No if this is to work the way in must be indirect...pretend to be doing a sale of some kind and handing out flyers or something like that...any direct communication on the street will be a crash and burn. Link to comment
skippylinn
Dada...you are getting the feel of this situation! I agree with the indirect method...good idea! How to pull it off is the question. Link to comment

ycmanvs
Ahhhh, I think I know where you are. So give her a sample of fruit. Tell her it's a promotion. Ask her what her favorite fruit is, etc... Link to comment
skippylinn
I bet you know! She is in the street, I'm not. If she came into my area I would be next to her in seconds. To run into the street and hand someone an orange, or how about an avacado is awkward. I don't even know her name. Link to comment
skippylinn
I'm out of here for a while! She will be by shortly... Link to comment

Well, you could accidentally have an orange fall down and roll unto the street and run after it....ha. Link to comment

Make some small talk about buying some fruits. Then work your magic. You already have some rapport with her as she knows you as the produce guy, not some random stranger. Link to comment
