I think the truth is the only thing we can go on in order to make rational decisions. Carrying on in a relationship while there is such a huge elephant in the room, as invisible as it may be, is incredibly dishonest.

 

Its extremely selfish to withhold this information so that your partner can continue to think you are this wonderful partner that in truth, you are not.

 

I'd expect any partner to let me know so that I can make rational decisions based on the relationship at that point and decide whether or not to stay. If I had to find out on my own, and I would, there is almost no chance I'd stick around afterwards.

 

People always deserve the truth as damaging as it may be.
