  1. Damien Rice - Rootless Tree What I want from you is empty your head They say be true, don't stay in your bed We do what we need to be free And it leans on me like a rootless tree What I want from us is empty our minds We fake the thoughts, and fracture the times We go blind when we've needed to see And this leans on me, like a rootless... F*** you, f*** you, f*** you And all we've been through I said leave it, leave it, leave it There's nothing in you And did you hate me, hate me, hate me, hate me so good That you just let me out, let me out, let me out Of this hell when you're around Let me out, let me out, let me out Hell when you're around Let me out, let me out, let me out What I want from this Is learn to let go No not of you Of all that's been told Killers re-invent and believe And this leans on me, like a rootless... F*** you, f*** you, f*** you And all we've been through I said leave it, leave it, leave it There's nothing in you And did you hate me, hate me, hate me, hate me so good That you just let me out, let me out, let me out Of this hell when you're around Let me out, let me out, let me out Of this hell when you're around Let me out, let me out, let me out Hell when you're around Let me out, let me out, let me out Hell when you're around Let me out, let me out, let me out, let me out Let me out, let me out, let me out, let me out Let me out, let me out, let me out F*** you, f*** you, love you And all we've been through I said leave it, leave it, leave it It's nothing in you And did you hate me, hate me, hate me, hate me so good That you just let me out, let me out, let me out, let me out Let me out, let me out, let me out, let me out Let me out, let me out, let me out, let me out Let me out, let me out, let me out Let me out, let me out, let me out Hell when you're around Let me out, let me out, let me out Hell when you're around Let me out, let me out, let me out Hell when you're around
  2. i found this poem done by the UK's Banksy [graffiti/stencil artist] in his book 'Wall and Piece' (great book by the way for anyone into street art). Love Poem Beyond watching eyes With sweet and tender kisses Our souls reached out to each other In breathless wonder And when I awoke From a vast and smiling peace I found you bathed in morning light Quietly studying All the messages on my phone obviously not a love poem in the traditional sense, but i find it remarkable how this honest bit of life can describe my past relationship (just the one) so well; how i could love a person and give her all that i could and yet still there existed an element of untrust and controlling from her.
  3. this was something of concern with my ex. i felt like we jumped right into being physical a bit tooooo soon, but she's my first and only real relationship so i was trying to go with the flow. we also found each other very attractive (i had a crush on her since like high school) so i guess one thing led to another. looking back though, her first real relationship bf was someone that forced himself onto her, and later ended up cheating on her. this leads me to believe that she is one of the people who unfortunately has no better way to relate or feel that she appeals to guys other than with sex. i think subconsciously i knew i should've been a little more careful, but she really was one of those 'girl of my dreams,' but strictly physically. i guess my own low self-esteem and amazement at getting her attention got the better of me.
