No matter how much I prove and prod,
I cannot quite believe in God;
But oh, I hope to God that He
Unswervingly believes in me.
~E.Y. Harburg, attributed

I love moleskines... btw.
Me too - the history is inspiring.

Was that his name? The one from "catcher in the rye"
Man, I feel like him tonight.
Lost, alone
yeah...
yeah, OK, I admit it, lonely
I confess...lonely
I walked into a nearby pub. It used to have poetry readings, I used to go there with a g/f a thousand years ago...or so it seems. Whatever.
I look at the booth we used to sit. No, I don't miss her but I miss something
You know that feeling...missing something.
The girl at the bar give me the eye, she looks me up and down, but then she is suddenly joined by a protective b/f - you know the type - he owns her, he lets the bar know. I sit down, she steals another look. She doesn't want to be with him but she can't leave - she is insecure. She looks at me but...my face is expressionless. She shows alot of leg. Whatever.
I wander the streets, it's still winter here - * * * * , it's always winter in Canada...it fits my mood.
I wish I still smoked, I miss it sometimes...
I should go home and go to sleep, I have to work tomorrow. But the apartment is lonely....I will wander some more maybe...
I live in a big city, a city full of lonely people, why can't we just meet up somehow?
No one will read this post...whatever.

suffering? careful what you wish for!
Cool poem though - minimalist

Yeah haha. I think you hit the nail on the head! But, I think that there are still people who have unique experiences that perhaps may induce the shock factor.
Well, I hope to be one!! (shock for good though, not shock for yech)
-
Maybe original wasn't the word I was looking for. Perhaps shocking or newsworthy is. The Beatles were shocking in 1964 because they had hair slightly over their ears. The Rolling Stones were shocking because although they were a band they didn't wear a uniform!
The bar keeps getting raised, then accepted then "meh".
Three Dog Night - shocking in the 70s, they were an interracial band.
Boy george was shocking in the 80s because he wore women's clothing,
Marylin Manson - shocking in the 90s - satan etc
Where does it end?
Jack Kerouac and Neil Cassey don't wear ties on the cover of "on the road", they don't have jobs and they wander about aimlessly (kinda). Shocking!!!
Allan Ginsburg had a beard and a black turtleneck sweater - I think he was gay too - Shocking!!

I wonder why (less imaginative I mean). Are we (as a society) stagnating? Or was it just easier to come up with something original in 1957?
-
Excellent
"Holes in my skin to absorb your demands
I want to hold you with my laughter
Cry you a sun
And cover up your pain with my pain
Cover your pain up with my vanity"
Love that part
ps: Jack Kerouac rules
Where are the Jack Kerouacs of today? Are we becoming dumber?

"miles away, yet not in heart"
Very touching poem

A _little_ chubby is great! The nerve of that guy telling her to lose weight - red flag. Or at least very tactless.

I've gone with the bloody mess at times. It's usually the girl who puts the brakes on it. If she feels comfortable with the whole thing that is.
One g/f said that it helped her with cramps (though maybe it just took her mind off it) I must admit though, the first time we did it, it was a bit horrifying after I withdrew to see my penis covered in blood. I'm not squemish much but see the "gore" in that area of my body took me aback a bit.
I supposed it all depends on the couples comfort levels with bodily functions etc.
Yes, towels are very useful. I can't say that the blood made it comfortable really, kinda "sploosy" actually. Wasn't a "turn on" but wasn't totally a turn off either. I suppose some guys might have a "kink" about it. There seems to be no limit as to what some people get into.

You flirt with men to get attention. You already have your b/f's attention, thereforeeee there is no need to flirt with him.
-
One of the prevailing attitudes among Generation Y females is that in order to be equal to a man, then you must behave like one. Violence, aggression, promiscuity and sex as a weapons. Hurray for the new millennium

Completely strange and yucky

What can you do at this point? I can't think of a single plausable lie that you could come up that would explain this behavior.
He's your ex anyway, you don't owe him any explanations. Obviously something prompted this, so you'd best be trying to figure this out.
