Is it possible to really like someone alot but so used to a certain comfort zone where you're afraid then to go outside of that and actually express feelings towards someone which could lead to a relationship?

I'm in love with this girl,which she's away at college right now where it's tough to handle. I admit I probably go overboard with the messages like emails here,with expressing how I feel and this and that anything to try and make her feel great where might make me look like some crazy guy/psycho here haha well I sent couple more emails the other night and she got on AIM and assumed she read them..bit later turned her away message on which said " I've heard being a psycho is a major turn on these days" say if thats meant to me here,I wonder what she means...to you people would you consider that,meaning she thinks i'm some psycho here but loves the attention or would you consider a comment like that where she's being highly sarcastic and dislikes it?

hey everyone. well this girl that I like just recently went back to college. her and I aren't going out at this time,so not that huge priority like having to talk to each other everynight or whatever. well I told her that i've decided to back off here (in a good way of course just being considerate) that she's gonna be starting the stressful times again with college and have alot going on. well last time i've talked to her was Aug 19th...oh yeah only been less than 2 weeks now but has felt like a month or 2 already haha what's the best time to wait until saying something again w/o going back on my word here?

I'm just asking ahead of time,so incase it does happen,so I won't freak out haha when you said it's possible to get scared and hold back. well is it also possible to get to a point where the person might start avoiding/ignoring overall like in person or AIM ( not answering IM or blocking) I know it may sound awful and I hope it doesn't happen but just curious in the general aspect. like it's too tough to deal with or so

i'm 110% that this girl likes me but she's the indecisive type. her and I have known each other long enough where I figured she be able to open up to me ( unless other factors here that she's in college where college/career is one of her top goals and whatever else) so in general a girl for example likes a guy alot,but that she's indecisive is it possible to get scared and hold back forever.
