is it normal to get a bit of swelling like a blister kind of look around the urethra at the end of my penis?

If you've been abusing yourself without proper lube, you could have rubbed yourself bad.

 

However, if thats not the case, I'd see a doctor in a few days if nothing returns to normal, or if it's painful.

There are websites out there with pictures of various, um, abnormaities... Go find one and see if what you have looks like any of the pictures.

 

But you still need to see a doctor.

Without examining it myself, (I am an M.D., not a freak) I would say it was probably a urinary tract infection and would prescribe antibiotics and maybe penicillin. You should go see a doctor in person as any sort of bacterial infection could cause serious health problems including sterility (not trying to freak you out, just telling you the facts)

A UTI would cause an external blister?

 

I've never heard of that.. Not to mention, I've always been under the impression that UTI's for men, were rather hard to get, and generally came from sex, amond other things that would usually it for women.
