sixpounder Posted October 23, 2006 Share Posted October 23, 2006 tomorow my girlfriend and i are going uptown to get her finger fitted for a promise ring, and i was going to buy her flowers aswell... but i wasnt sure if i should let her pick them out or if i should surprise her with some. any ideas?? If I had to pick them out myself it wouldn't be nearly as special. Thats just my personal preference. Do you know what her favorite flowers are? Link to comment

I have been given roses many times before and to me they seemed to last just as long as any other flowers. I have had roses that lasted up to two weeks and still looked nice. That is just my experience from all these years. Much of how long they last depends on how freshly cut they are in the beginning and the care given them afterwards. If you decide not to do roses, there are several different Fall bouquets that you can opt to get instead, that are quite pretty. Link to comment

If it's a good quality rose, it will last a long time if you trim the stem regularly and put flower food in the water. My rose is all brown and shriveled now but I still keep it in my room. A girl has to be reeeeeally picky about flowers in order to not appreciate getting them from her sweetie. If you don't trust your own taste in flowers, you can always ask the salesperson for advice, too... Link to comment

Although you dont think they last long, she can dry them and put them in a book or else dry them and tie them together with a nice ribbon. I did that when my ex gave me flowers. I would dry them out, tie them with a nice ribbon and put them in a vase. Link to comment
