just guy issues

I have a guy friend, "Bob", whom I've known for less than a year but is still one of my best friends. I talk to him a lot, and about everything- including my crush, "Fred". It's more of a celebrity crush type, since I have no intention of dating him (I'm only 14...). Anyway... everyone's been telling me that Bob likes me, and yesterday a mutual friend confirmed it. Apparently he VERY much has a crush on me... he denies it to me, though. I've let it drop, but the friend says he's going nuts... what can I say to make him feel better without telling him I know? Cuz if I do, he'll just tense up. -_-? And any other advice is always good too...
