Need some advice from all you helpful people out there

Alright, i'll give you a quick run through along with my actual question.

 

I've been interested in this girl since high school, and i'm fairly sure she knows or at least used to.

 

She tried initiating a conversation by saying "hi" to me, but all i did was say "hi" back and kept walking. Ya, i'm slightly retarded.

 

So by coincidence i saw her working at a grocery store, and am now determined to ask her out on a low pressure date, i.e. coffee or something of that nature.

 

Now my question is what would be the best way to ask her? I don't know if it's appropriate to ask her out while she's working? I don't want a bunch of customers behind me waiting. Should i give her my number, or should i ask for hers?

 

All ideas are appreciated. I don't wanna * * * * this up, this might be my last chance.

How about tryin to find out her work hours..Maybe when she's got a break or something..thats wen u casually ask her to come wid u for cofee or some thing!..hows that? too blunt?...

She works at a grocery store right?..Ask one of the other people working there wat time do they usually have break or something..Maybe if u ask them wat time her break is,maybe they mite tell her about u!!

 

Well if this is too complicated,Y dont u just ask her out straight away..

Well i talked to her for a little bit. Turns out she's almost done with school and planning on attending school in oregon. (im in washington). Sucks for me eh? Guess i should've done something earlier, or do you guys think i should still ask her out? This blows
