askNsee
Am I the only one on these forums that think that jealousy is needed in a relationship so the relation can work ? Link to comment
DN
I can't speak for other people but I think jealousy corrodes a relationship because it implies lack of trust which in turn means you believe your partner lacks character and judgment. Link to comment
tmp0620
I gotta agree with DN. You're interested in the wrong people if jealousy is the only thing that keeps them from cheating and motivates them to stay with you. Link to comment
LotusFlower
Well... I agree wit Dn... however jealousy is also an insecurity on the jealous persons part...and most of us are far from perfect. If there is deliberate attempts to make others jealous...bad. If you arelooking for reasons to be jealous...bad If you notice something that makes you jealous and talk about it and address it...good. ocrob
I think that jealousy actually goes against a healthy relationship. If you truly love someone and trust them, then there is no reason to be jealous. I have never gotten jealous with a girlfriend because I have always felt they loved me and I was the only one. I will admit that I got really jealous one night when I was with my ex and some guy was hitting on her in front of me. I just thought it was disrespectful and I got very upset and he got very scared. lol Link to comment
Dutchy
Well, I don't think 'healthy jealousy' would be wrong. Some people need the jealousy of their partners so they know they are still loved. This flows out of insecurity and is not so good for the relationship. But a lot of people tend to be insecure.... Link to comment
