I already know that asking a girl for a cup of coffee is a good idea once I've talked with her a little in class. What I'm curious about is, when is the right time to ask her to dinner. A note: There's a really good affordable and comfortable Mexican place 7 minutes from campus and that's where I'd take her. This is a hypothetical situation by the way. I suppose that "I will know when the right time is" but, after we've had coffee a couple of times and maybe eaten dinner together in the dining hall, that might be a good time to pop the dinner question right?

its really simple. if you've had a good time at the coffee place like the first time then when its all done say "well i had a lot of fun and i would love to take you to dinner at ____. im free ____ and i would love if you would come". once the coffee has gone well thats the PERFECT TIME to ask about dinner.
