Sertraline and sex

Hi. Sorry hopefully i jave selected the correct sub forum.

I have just been precribed sertraline 50mg for anxiety. On day 2 now and side effects not to bad. My question is will this have an impact on my sex life ie. Will i get erection problems.

While I did experience some sexual side effects, Sertraline was definitely the best anti-depressant I've taken in this regard. Unfortunately, most anti-depressants mess with your sex life to some extent - which probably the reason why so many people stop taking them.

 

If my memory serves me right, the side effects were at their lowest in the hours before I needed to take it again, so making sure you are taking it after sex could help.

I cam deal with delayed ejaculation though 😂😂
