Prom!

So how many months//weeks in advance is it good to ask someone out for prom?! just like a friend or whatever... but i don't want to looook like an absolute moron asking before everyone else you know!

I'm not an expert here, but I would say that if it's just a friend, you can afford to wait longer than usual, because it would be nice to give your friend a chance to get asked out by someone who wants to be more than friends. Otherwise, I would think it's perfectly fine to ask someone out as soon as the whole prom buzz or whatever starts up and people are talking about it. Absolute morons are the ones who ask a girl out right before the dance.

From what I found, people usually start asking about a month in advance.

i couldn't find a date so I didn't go.

So I've began to look and got rejected on my first try. I think she would have gone with me but she is engaged and her fiance is in Iraq. Now I only have one more person to ask then I don't know what to do. I'd like it to be a good night so I don't want to do something I am going to regret now.

 

any advice? i'm kind of flustered but it's nothing that I can't work through.
