A Puriri Moth, they are very elusive. These Moths are the largest in NZ (about 150mm)... I found this poor thing on the floor in the ladies change area at the Hot pools and moved him to some native ferns..

Thank you Dias, I'm only just starting out, .. long way to go. Looking for a course to learn the manual settings (I did a course years ago with a film cameras, but things have changed a lot since.)

 

Its' a Canon EOS 400D ( my friends old one ) once I know what I'm doing I'll look at something newer may take a while!

Overall, yes, I enjoy the UK. I still need some time to get used to the weather, other than that it is great. Aside from London and some small towns of Essex, I haven't explored much. When I am not busy, it happens to rain. I will start my excursions in spring!

 

How about you? Any excursion lately?
