I can't tell if he's interested, is this too blunt?

There's a man I've started to chat with online a couple weeks ago. We were talking for about three days alone and then he asked for my number so we could text. Well in the last two weeks we've only text twice. And he conversations were good, we seem to get along great and we share the same humor. The thing is that I've initiated the conversations.. And he hasn't once in the last two weeks.. He seems interested but he's not initiating conversation.. Though he is very hard to read through text. Usually I can piece things together about a person and come to understand them a little bit. But it's hard with him.

 

I'm usually pretty straight forward so I'm wondering if I should ask him if he's interested in meeting sometime or no? Because I'm not looking for a random chat buddy, I'm looking for someone to spend my time with and either become friends or a couple. But how should I phrase it without coming off as a needy, bossy person?

If he won't initiate a text, I would be very surprised if he would be willing to meet.

 

It wouldn't be needy or bossy to ask --- it would be kinda pointless. If you don't want a text buddy, stop texting.
