How should I interpret this?

I was just sitting with my buddy in history today, taking notes and stuff, when this extremly attractive girl and her friend (who i really don't know either of well) turn around and comment on how nice skin and smile i have. I was really surprised and only smilled and said thanks. Then the bell rang. I didn't think much of it until tonight, was the girl just being nice, or what?

 

I don't really have my hopes up or anything, lol, so just say it how it is, i'm just wondering cause i don't see many girls just openly hitting on guys very often when the guy hasnt even said anything.
